Aggie blue and white game

We went to the aggie blue and white game on Saturday. We had lots of fun even though it was 100 degrees outside! We even got to meet "Big Blue"!

Jaxon really did have fun ... Even though he's flashing his crusty here.

We got to meet all the players and get their autographs... And the boys gave most of the players knuckles too!

Jax got to kick a field goal too! He's got quite the kick!

Go aggies! I feel a win coming this year! One win isn't too much to hope for... Right?

So I realize I haven't posted on this blog in a long time and I have no one to blame but... Facebook.

I just downloaded an app for my new fancy phone that let's me post right from my phone... So here's my attempt at a comeback.

Mark just quit his job at yesco where he's worked for the past 15 years! Now he's a full time student at usu studying to become a science teacher.

so i read my cousin bethany's blog the other day about how she made strawberry freezer jam and had a ton of it... and i thought to myself... dang i wish she lived closer so i could have some of her yummy freezer jam.

and then i was browsing the grocery ads cause we were in dire need of food..when i saw a sale for da da da da.... you guessed it. strawberries. mark convinced me i could make jam so i got a huge flat of strawberries today at maceys... mashed em up... poured SOOOOOOOO much sugar and pectin into them.... and WALA... jam. well i hope so at least. they're supposed to sit for 24 hrs and then you freeze them or refrigerate them. right now its just runny strawberry sugar goo.

and thats my story of how i became domestic.(my house is a mess...and there's strawberry goo everywhere...but thats besides the point!)

poop and goose eggs

i had a fun poop story tonight....wanna hear it? its not NEARLY as good as my friend jen's story though... which includes baby laxatives and a carpet cleaner.

so kole is notorious for pooping or almost pooping the the tub. i guess its my own fault for having bath time after dinner time.... but what are you really gonna do? so usually i just hear him grunting and pull him out so he can poop on the "big boy elmo potty"...

well tonight jaxon got a GIANT goose egg on his noggin... and while they were in the tub i called a friend to see if i needed to take him into the doctors... or watch him for a concussion our whatever...

so i catch kole grunting.. and i pull him out of the bath "just in time" or so i think... i plopped him onto the elmo potty and he continued his business.... and i continue asking my friend about jaxon's head injury.... when jaxon says..."HERE MOMMY!" and holds out his hand....

yep. he's holding poop. guess i missed that one! thanks jax! guess bathtime is over.

oh the joys of motherhood. they never really prepare you for stuff like this huh?

i'll keep you posted on jaxon's goose egg. i got a picture of it right after it happend.... to document how big the bump was! poor guy. he looks really sad here... but he was back to his cute self a few min later.... love you buddy!

so i've been a megan corkrey fan since her auditions in SLC on american idol... but tonight i was watching... and they did interviews with family... I TOTALLY WAS IN HER MOMs WARD when we lived in salt lake! she was a leader in YW with me... or right before me.

I met megan a few times... she'd come to church with her mom (she may have even been living there?) She was pregnant with her son Rider... and I was supposed to do belly pictures of her... but she had the baby before we could work it out... and then I never got a chance to do baby pics.... cause I was pregnant with Jaxon (although i DID do some pictures of her best friends baby Dax which are currently on my website!)

Just thought you'd all like to know how cool I am....

Ok... so as you all know... we have been sick around here the past week or so... (thanks for the comments of sympathy from my last post)

well this has turned into a blessing in disguise...

kolton our sweet little 8 month old baby refuses to nap... and refuses to go to bed w/out a fight... but since i have been sick... i knew i just couldnt deal with him one night.... so at jaxons bedtime i just laid him in his crib... and walked out of the room. mostly thinking i would just let him scream for an hour so i could have a break..... well half an hour later both boys were ASLEEP! mark and i just looked at eachother in dissbeleif... we haven't had a night like this in 8 months!!! it was 9pm and it was just the 2 of us!!! WOW!

we've tried it now 3 nights in a row... and LAST night kole didn't even CRY! what the?! Why hasn't this worked before?! I have no idea... but i'm seriously so happy i could cry.

So surprise surprise... we're SICK again... this time I got nailed pretty hard with strep throat. the kids just have snot noses right now... and Mark woke up this morning with the body aches... so i'm sure strep is on the way for him.

I just kind of want to know when it will end. ya know? i dont mean to throw a pity party... but COME ON ALREADY!!!! oh...and its spring break this week. GREAT! glad we can enjoy that nice long week break in OUR BEDS.... with FEVERS!

just in case all you out there in the blog world are worried... i'm still alive.. just busy and or lazy the past few months... we've been trying to move upstairs and deal w/crap with zoning for the city... and remodeling... and all sorts of junk...

but i mostly wanted to post something cute jaxon did so i dont forget...

the other day we were at Kmart...and jaxon saw a little boy on some heelys... you know those shoes w/wheels on the heels? so he started trying to skate around the store... and couldn't since he had no wheels on his shoes....so he got frustrated.... i had to hold his hands while i drug him around the store on his heels. it was hillarious! now everyday he begs me to "skate" all around the house. what a funny kid.

and for my own records...Kole is getting his first 2 bottom teeth today. I guess that makes him 7 1/2 months old... i think jax was about the same age... although i think he was actually 8 months... i probably need to start a baby book or something huh? bad mommy.

is it just me or does it seem like 2008 flew by? i now find myself in 2009... one year older... the big 31... and i'm pretty sure last time i checked i was only 21. so something is going on here... maybe a time warp? i dunno... but i still remember when 30 was old...

ok... so recap... we had a very merry christmas... AND a happy new year. Ok maybe not such a happy new year... seeing as i was plagued with a stomach bug over new years and went to bed around 11... but christmas was great. we spent the weekend before christmas at my parents house in provo... with the whole family... it was great! we got my mom a *new stove (*new to her...thanks ksl classifieds) and that was a fun surprise. christmas eve we spent with mark's family in salt lake and we opened tons of presents and ate yummy food. good times.

jax got 2 elmo's... or as he calls them "big elmo" and "elmos dor" (emlo's world). he loves them...and carries them around with him wherever he goes...and sleeps with them everynight. he also scored with a giant truck that carries his hot wheels....and a little peoples train. we have so many toys now i can barely walk in my front room!

kole's favorite gift was actually just wrapping paper. loves the stuff... cant get enough. i've had to fish out a few handfuls of it out of his mouth... he no longer gets to play with it. so sad.

my birthday was wonderful... ate lots of super yummy food... at resteraunts we normally cant afford... (thanks mom & dad and dieter & elaine) i got lots of stuff i've been needing/wanting... a new lens for my camera and some good jeans/pants some jewlrey and belts... and dont forget the beautiful roses my sweetheart gave me! he even got me an ice cream cake... AND i got a schmidts bakery cake from marks parents... soooo good! (this is why i hate new years resolutions in jan... i always wait till AFTER my bday to start eating better... its just not fair to try to start before that!)

the day after my bday we closed on our house in salt lake... the one we've been trying to sell for the past year and half... ! so we're excited to get that off our hands. i guess its official... we're sticking around up here in logan!

well i have been putting off blogging till i download my camera... cause i always like to post pics with my blogs... but guess what... its not happening today....so you get to read (or not read) a long blog w/out pics... sorry bout that.... but for you die hards who have read this whole thing... congrats! you win a free car! ok not really... just checking to see if you read it all...

hopefully i'll keep up better on my blog... maybe i'll make it a new years resolution! :)

Well I was trying to be a good mom and do sugar cookies with my boys... we had fun... the cookies were out of a package... but we had to bake them so it still counts! jaxon's favorite was either the flour or the icing... kole's was the cookie cutters.

Christmas Lights

This year we didn't feel like packing the kids around temple square... so we took them to Layton Park's light display... which was just as fun... if not funner for little kids! We went with Josh & Sarrah and their girls and Sarrah's dad. Its a tradition for them... and they were kind enough to let us tag along! Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun!

Thanksgiving at the Hoehne's

This year was the Hoehne's year for Thanksgiving... we had EVERYONE from my family there. All 8 kids.. plus spouses and their kids... and it was a SLUMBER PARTY to boot! We had a great time! It was so much fun! My parents just got a pool table w/a ping pong table on top. We had a ping pong tournament... played Wii Guitar Hero... and the kids made apple turkeys. Pretty much I only took pictures of the apple turkeys with my camera... so thats all the pics you get!

We had a Kickawesome time and I'm so greatful for my wonderful family! Seems like we have the darndest time getting everyone together, but when we do its always fun! I'm thankful for my own little family and sweet hubby too!

Ward Party

We had our ward "halloween" party tonight... it was a Phantom of the Opera Theater... talent show type thing. Everyone was encouraged to dress up in their halloween costumes. We didn't want to put the boys in their super hot costumes to sit in the cultural hall for a few hours... so we decided to do something different.

Yesterday when i was out trying to decide what to be for halloween I picked up some green spray paint... and this is what we came up with. I shaved mark and Jaxons hair into mohawks... and I chopped my hair into a faux hawk... and we just sprayed a line down kole's head since he didn't have any hair to shave. haha! Everyone got a kick out of it....and I think mark wants to keep his mowhawk for work.

We also had some temp tatoos that mark bought me last mothers day (romantic i know) so we put them on us and the boys... kole got a teddy bear tatoo on his leg... jaxon got a few dragons on his arms... and a leg band. Mark got a nice snake on his neck... and I got an ankle band... a butterfly on my foot...and a dragonfly on my neck.

I have to admit... I kinda liked dressing like this! ... and I found Mark extremely hot while sporting his mowhawk! I think we'd probably be a punk family if we were cool enough... oh and we weren't active in the church. haha!

Here's the kids dressed up in their warm costumes this year... Jaxon was a Monkey... Kolton the Banana... (and the upstairs neighbor girls in their ladybug fairy costumes)... and dont miss Lane's "pumkin pie"
We went to the mall for trick or treating at all the stores with the cousins... Kenzie & Breesen. Jaxon wasn't quite sure what was going on... he kept wanting to eat his candy...not put it in the sack... so his costume was slobbered with tootsie roll goobers and sucker sticky crap. good times.

Afterwards we went back home for pizza... (isn't pizza what you HAVE to eat on halloween?) and then got dressed up again for trick or treating in the neighborhood followed by the ward trunk or treat. Jaxon is starting to say a lot of words lately... so we thought he'd catch on with "trick or treat" but no... all he yelled was "CANDY!" at every door. still cute... we'll get it down for next year.

Kolton's banana outfit was so warm he instantly fell asleep everytime we put him in it.... so we mostly only have pics of him sleeping. He makes a cute squished banana though...i have to admit!

pumpkin walk

Well it was the annual pumpkin walk in logan... this is our second year now... its a fun tradition! They have a theme and everyone decorates pumpkins and other home grown produce to create a scene... this years theme was "Heros" here are a few of my favs.
Our good friends Jenny & Karl and her boys came up last weekend and came with us... along with my family... Josh & Sarrah and the girls... plus Jeremiah and Holly... as well as Jenn & Brandon and the twins. I only got pics though of us and Jenny on my camera... dunno why?

Ok... so pretty much this recipe is the best thing I've ever eaten. Ok that could be an exaggeration.. but once you try it... you no longer need to go to Cafe Rio...

I got this from my good friend Allison....thanks! You changed my life. :)

Sweet Pork:

3lb bonelss pork rost

First you mix all these ingredients together and put a dry rub on the roast

2 tsp Coriander
2 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

once thats in the crock pot... add

4 cloves of garlic minced
1 cup beef broth

Cook in crock pot on High for 4 hrs.... shred meat and put back in crock pot. then add:

(mix together first)
16 oz Salsa
1 cup Coke
2 cups Brown Sugar

Heat on Low for 2 more hours.

Lime Rice:

2 Tbsp olive oil
2 clove minced garlic
1 onion diced
2 cups rice
4 cups chicken broth
1 tsp salt
2 limes (juice and zest)
1 bunch of cilantro

Saute Garlic and onion in olive oil until onion is softened. Add rice and saute until it begins to brown. Add chicken broth, salt, and lime juice and bring to a boil. Simmer for 25-30 min. Stir in cilantro and lime zest.

Dressing:

1 buttermilk ranch packet
1 cup mayo
1 cup buttermilk
2 tomatillos
1 bunch cilantro
1 clove garlic
1 lime (juice)
1 jalapeno

mix all ingredients in blender.. mix well. refrigerate before serving.

Now just a note on this dressing I started from ranch dressing instead of making the ranch from scratch...because When we made this last time it was super runny... so if you do it from scratch maybe cut back on the buttermilk or something.... I also add 5 or 6 green onions.

THE KEY TO THESE BURRITOS... is getting the uncooked tortillas... its just not right without them.

Here's how I assemble the burrito:

1 freshly cooked tortilla shell... lots of yummy rice... lots of yummy pork... salad dressing... fresh pico de gallo salsa....romaine lettuce.... ROLL. EAT. ENJOY!

(this recipe works really good on chicken breats too!)

BYU vs. Utah State

Well this past friday night was the BYU/Utah State game up here in Logan! We took the boys and met up with my brother and his girls to enjoy a little butt kickin'. :) I got myself a spouse card just for this game... the tickets were 30 bucks and the spouse card is 40... and that will get me into ALL of the games this semester... no brainer!

This was both of the boys first football games... I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Jaxon did pretty good... he wanted to run around a lot... it was a packed stadium so that made it kind of difficult. We became good friends with the people sitting around us... (cause we had to appologize for Jaxon invading their space).

Kolton slept the entire game... you guessed it.... in the sling! He was a trooper... we had some BYU die hard fans sitting next to us... and everytime they yelled kole would open his eyes... smile and go back to sleep. I think he's a cougar fan.

It was kind of hard to know who to root for.... i mean we're at school at USU but we follow the cougar football team religiously.... (haha... get it... byu... church school? religiously... ok. its late and i dont get much adult interaction... cut me some slack) ... Anyways... I cheered for almost every big play... didn't matter which team it was.... kind of took the fun out of the game a little bit though.

All in all we had a great time! The weather was perfect.... the game wasn't a total blow out... and we got to spend time with the family! Can't beat that!

With Mark in school during the day... and working at night... we rarely get much time with him. So friday we had some family time at the park!

A few weekends ago we went to Salt Lake to celebrate Marks grandparents 60th wedding anniversary! Here's a few pictures of our fun time together!

Here are Marks grandparents... "Omie" and Grandpa Waegner. Aren't they cute little love birds? They split their time living in California and Salt Lake... so this was the first time they got to see Kolton!

Haha!

our friends had twins a week before kole was born... here he is being a ladies man! he's eatin' it up!

his 2 month dr apt was yesterday... he weighs in at 13 lbs 3 oz 24 in long.... which puts him in the 90% range! go chunkers! he'll take after his uncle josh and be a football player.

pretty much all i wanted to do all summer was go on a carny ride.... the first part of the summer i was pregnant and that was out of the question... then when the cache valley fair came to town... it was the weekend of kole's baby blessing...and my whole family came up and we were going to go... but marks family also came up and we decided we needed to spend some time with both families... so the fair got nixed... so i was bound an determined to find a fair somewhere and go on a ride before the summer was up.

well our good friends brandon and jenn said they go to peach days in brigham city every year and that we should go! so friday we headed down to enjoy the obscenely overpriced greasy fair food along with my token "carney ride".

we had a blast! jenn and i went on some claw puke your guts out whiplash ride....and i remembered that i'm a mom now...and perhaps a tad bit too old for those kinds of rides! haha. I was sore the rest of the weekend! maybe next year i will try the ferris wheel! i also took jaxon on the merry go round. he didn't quite understand the "wait your turn" concept...but once we finally got on the ride he loved it!

mark also bought "jaxon" a fake light saber... which he used to poke random strangers as we walked thru the crowds... yes. thats my son.

i think our favorite part of the whole thing was the inflateables! we had a blast jumping in the bounce cage and sliding down the slide with jaxon! i'm not sure he knew what to think at first...but he got the hang of it!

we had a lot of fun... although we never actually had or saw any peaches while at peach days... i think its something i'd like to do again next year!

So last saturday afternoon as i was peacefully laying in bed with Kolton for a nap when all of the sudden the little 4yr old girl from upstairs comes bolting into our house crying that there was a fire upstairs. Mark ran up to see what was going on... and this is what we found.

Apparently Casi our tenant upstairs was trying to boil water and she turned the wrong burner on... the one she turned on had a plastic bowl of popcorn sitting on top of it... the bowl melted.. the popcorn caught on fire... which then started the cupboard on fire. Luckily she wasn't hurt and we got a new (to us) stove... (we didn't need one probably... but we found a good deal on KSL... now our kitchen upstairs all matches!)

Mark loves fishing... so we decided to head up to second dam up logan canyon to introduce the boys to it... jaxon had fun throwing rocks and his fishing pole into the water! kole and i just chilled in the shade and watched. it was really fun to go on a little spontaneous family outing!

so the other day i was telling my neighbor upstairs that jaxon was being really whiny cause he was tired... and he said... or maybe he's just bored.

and i got to thinking... you know... maybe he's got something there! that poor kid gets stuck inside most of the day... playing aimlessly with the same ole toys... or watching one of his many shows we've tivo'd while i nurse the new baby. We do get outside usually once a day... usually to play with the neighbor girls for an hour or so... or for walks... and we like to read stories.... so its not ALL teletubbies all day long.... although i can actually get him to sit still for almost a half hour when i play that hypnotic show... very useful when i need to take a shower! :)

but sometimes I just feel like there needs to be some constructive play....its my job to teach him stuff right? I'm sort of a slacker laid back mom i guess... cause i don't have our day planned with tons of crafts and projects for him to work on.... is that what you're supposed to do? is 18 months too young to worry about this stuff? I dunno? I know some of you mom's out there must have some ideas out there for me to do with my little guy...!

Late night olympics and ice cream

well mark started working the swing shift yesterday in preparation for school starting next week.... so far it hasn't been too bad though... thanks to late night olympics and moose tracks ice cream which keep me company. Go USA!

we've had some really amazing things all fall into place the past few weeks... Mark got accepted into a program here at the school which will give him help with math and other stuff... which is HUGE for him... and since he got into that program his classes have to be during the day... which means he had to switch to the night shift at work.... it was a nail biter to see if his boss would allow him to make the switch... but he came back and said he would let him.... and not only that but he's letting him work only 32 hrs a week and still get benefits!

our house in salt lake is finally in the closing stages and we should be closing on that in september! the appraisal came back at our asking price so thats awesome! we thought with the market the way it is lately we'd have to renegotiate the asking price. It will be nice when thats all done!

Oh ya... my honey is home!

The Heavy Weight Competition

So I had my good friend Allison over for lunch today while she was in town. She brought her 6 week old Seth with her to "play" with Kole. They had a blast just rolling around and laughing together... ok... well they just layed there. Good times. haha

We also weighed them both... Kolton was up to 12.5 lbs... and Seth... a whopping 15 lbs! Go Seth! You won the super cute chunky baby award! But kolton is catching up... so watch out!

Annual Persied Meteor Shower

Every year at this time there is an awesome light show in the sky called the Persied Meteor Shower. Basically its a bunch of shooting stars. We always lay out a blanket in our front yard and watch the show. This year was no exception... in fact it could be one of the best! I was up already with the baby... and mark woke up about an hour before his usual time for work.... we couldn't lay on the grass cause the sprinklers had just gone off... so we plopped our blanket on the drive way and we watched a TON of shooting stars streak across the night or morning sky. It was awe inspiring to say the least.

Its been a long time since I've actually stopped and looked up at the night sky. We used to always be outside at night with the telescope looking at stars.... but so much has gotten in the way of those simple quiet moments. I'm not sure if it was the craziness of pregnancy... followed up by the craziness of having 2 kids...mark trying to juggle school and work...or just all of the wonderful reality TV shows that distract my attention....but it was really refreshing to take a moment with my sweet hubby and look up at the stars in total peace and quiet. Thanks honey for being my inspiration & sanity!

Its almost 5 am... probably time to get some shut eye before the kids are up for the day!

Ok... here's a general idea of how to make my salsa...for those who have been asking.

Now keep in mind... i dont have a recipe... nor do i make it the exact same everytime... its pretty much just a wing it sort of thing... but here's the gist....

8 or so Tomatoes
1 onion (evertime it changes which type....i think i like the sweet onions or the white onions best)
2 bell peppers... doesn't matter what color
1-2 cloves of garlic depending on how garlicy you like it
1 bunch of cilantro... but you can really never have too much of that stuff! Yumm-o
1 lime
a bunch of salt...? i put in like 4 palm fulls yesterday? so i dunno how much that is... i salt to taste

chop up everything put it in a bowl... and enjoy! :)

so jaxon is a cute fun loving little boy right? we all know this. well lately (post kole) jax has been quite a handful... especially when we go out. take church for instance... yesterday during sac mtg he just wanted to run recklessly thru the aisles and out the doors. he throws tantrums now.... especially in stores... or at the doctors office. we know we need to address the issue before it gets out of control... but we're not sure what to do!

We had a fun weekend ... we took our first journey as a family of 4 to salt lake. We came down for my friend Kristin's bday party... isn't it great to be 30?! We got to see a lot of friends we havent seen in a while!

on our way down we stopped by my aunts house for a bridal shower for my cousin Amy who's getting married this weekend. Congrats Amy! Married life is awesome.. you'll love it!

I got a chance to see some of my friends new babies. I snaped a few pics of Jen's little guy Kayson as well as Tami's little girl Natalie (who was actually born on the same day as Kole!) What cute babies!

We went to our old ward for a missionary farewell of a friend of Marks from when he was in young mens down there. It was cool to see all our old ward friends... it almost felt like we never left... I can't believe its been a whole YEAR since we moved!!! Crazy!

While we were at mark's parents house, we had a nice family dinner and mark's sister and family got to see Kolton for the first time. She made us the most amazing quilt... its red white and blue.. perfect for our little Yankee Doodle Dandee! She also made a diaper cake... but it fell apart in the car... but hey... its the thought and the DIAPERS that count right?! Thanks aunt Karen! We love you!

We had a great time! Glad we could see some of you while we were there! Hopefully we'll see you next weekend for the blessing!

double stroller dilemma

ok... so we're looking at getting a new double stroller... we're debating between the Baby Trend Sit n Stand Delux and the Graco Quattro Tour Duo....

Does anyone recomend one or the other... or another type of double stroller... what about the double jogging stroller....? I think we aren't considering that cause you can't put the car seat in those ones... or can you?

Any suggestions?

Well its been a crazy week... i'm just now finding time to blog. I'm so glad my mom has been here to help us this week! I don't know what I would have done without their help! I'm going to probably FREAK OUT when she leaves this weekend!

We got home to Jaxon puking and coughing out his lungs... which was exactly what I was hoping to bring my newborn home to. We took him into the doctors and he was put on breathing treatments.... the first few he freaked out the entire time and we had to pin him down... but mark took over and Jaxon doesn't even fuss now! Which is such a relief.

We found out that Kolton might have inherited our family's "infant seizures" ... he's been showing signs of it...but hasn't had any big ones yet. It hits anywhere from 2 days old to 2 months... but usually around a week. So we're hoping he doesn't have it... but we're prepared if he does. Kinda scary. The good thing is that they're benign... and they go away after a few months.

So far the 2 kid thing hasn't been too bad... but wait till i face it all alone... after mark goes back to work and my mom & sister leave.... oh fun...jaxon just pulled off his poopy diaper and is running down the hall. Oh my life is going to be crazy isn't it? Haha.... time to go!

Kolton Dieter Waegner

Well he's HERE! A july 4th baby! Born on his Grandpa Dieter's Bday!

He was 8lbs 12 oz (just like the ultrasound predicted!) 20.5 inches long
Born at 12:51 am 7-4-08

It was a perfect day... I went into my dr apt... she said he's big lets take him today... we came in at 7:30 pm to get induced... and by 9:30 I was numb with my epidural and started on pitocin... she broke my water at 10pm ... we watched the fireworks out the window... at about 12:30 I had dialated from a 5 to an 8 to a 10 in like 5 min... I pushed for 10 min and he was born!!! It was awesome!

He's such a chunky monkey! I love it!

Here's the latest picture of Kolton... check out those CHEEKS! they're guessing he's weighing in at 8lbs 12oz right now... and I'm really only 38 weeks! Lets just say i've got to do everything in my power to get this kid out soon... so he doesn't get STUCK inside!

False Alarm... Still pregnant!!!

Well sunday i took some pictures of my friend Jenn's twin girls... it was fun... and exhausting. When i got home around 3 pm I started having contractions.... regular hard ones. So i started timing... they were 5 min apart... so not too worrysome... I went for a walk to see if they got worse... and they did.... and i laid down and they got to be 3 min apart around 7:30 pm. So we thought we'd pack and get ready to go into the hospital.

We waited for our neighbors upstairs to get home and they said they'd be home around 9:30 or 10:00 (they were going to watch jaxon since he was already asleep). They didn't get home until after 11pm!!! Jerks huh? actually their car broke down and they had to get towed.... so i couldn't be mad.

ANYWAYS... by the time they got home my contractions has stopped being as consistant and I decided i was pooped and was just going to go to bed. So i took a sleeping pill and went to bed. About 30 min later... jaxon woke up in a hysterical screaming fit... (very unusual). So i got up with him and watched teletubbies or something like that for an hour or so.... and I started getting really nauseatd and started having really bad contractions every 2 min apart. I woke mark up (who was sick by the way) ... and he took jaxon while i laid down for a bit. Just after I laid down I puked. Yummy. My contractions were really hard and consistant so we went into the hospital.

When we got there... the nurse checked me out and I was STILL AT A 3! I was pretty ticked off but she seemed like my contractions were going really good that she thought we were going to have this baby that night. She came back to check me out an hour later.... still no change... so they sent me home. My contractions slowed down and around 4 am we finally went to bed. It was a long crazy night...

So needless to say...i'm still pregnant... and feeling great! No more contractions since then... well none that are regular. I go in tomorrow for an ultrasound... which i'm not really sure what they're going to tell me... but whatever. And thursday is my dr appointment.... so we'll see. At least I know I only have a week left no matter what. July 10th just seems SOOO far away! Wish me luck! :)

Jaxon loves to pull up my shirt and poke my belly button and say "boop!" haha! its cute but painful cause he's got really sharp fingernails!

Wednesday we went to the swimming pool here in logan. Jaxon had a blast in the water! He's our little fish boy! Mark took him down the big twisty slide and he loved it! So he had to go again. We got a 10 punch pass so looks like we'll be going lots this summer... hopefully a few more times before Kolton comes! (and hopefully a few times afterwards too!)

lagoon day

Last thursday was marks work lagoon day... and since it was free... we decided to go! He was still a little young to go on any of the kiddie rides by his self.... so he watched longingly from outside the gate... he REALLY wanted to go on the boats... but i knew once we put him on the ride alone... he would have freaked out. Maybe next year kiddo! jaxon had a good time on the train... he loves animals!

the carousel was fun at first... then he got a little freaked out...so mark hopped on the back of his animal with him.. until he got caught by the ride attendant. after he got off the back jaxon was pretty upset. oh well...maybe next year!
he loved the water feature with the granite ball... he could have stayed there forever!
but his absolute favorite thing about lagoon was the broadway singing group! he was completely engrossed in the entire show! he loves all things musical. we're kinda hoping he doesn't end up in tight leotards dancing at lagoon someday.

Today at my doctor visit i found out i'm dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. my doctor checked the ultrasound and wants to do another ultrasound in 2 weeks...on July 2nd. I guess she's worried he's gonna be too big! So they also scheduled me for July 10th to be induced just in case i haven't gone on my own by then. So ya! There's an end in sight! Thats only 3 weeks away! Isn't that crazy! Mark thinks it would be fun to have him on his dad's birthday which is July 4th. So we'll have to see! I guess I wouldn't mind going that early either!

Ok... so here's the ultrasound picture from today's visit... its a side view... kinda looks like his head is hollow.. but its not. can you make out his face? The technician also said she could see hair! How cute is that?!

She said he's probably about 7 lbs-71/2 lbs already... and if I go two more weeks (which would be 2 weeks early) ... that he'll probably be around 8 1/2 lbs.... full term he'd be a monster.

She believes I will probably go about 2 weeks early with this one...not that she can tell from the ultrasound... but thats her personal feeling about it. I hope she's right! So that puts us right around the 4th of July! I go in for my OB visit tomorrow to meet with my new doc... and to see if i'm dialated at all yet. We'll keep you all posted!

Giant Inflated Aliens

So you know all the blow ups that they use at car dealers to get people to come buy cars? Well mark and i always think they're ridiculous... and every time we see them... we say... "Hey look.. a Giant Gorilla (or fill in the blank with the appropriate blow up toy)... lets buy a car!"

Well on the way home from Salt Lake this weekend... we were driving thru Brigham City... and we found this GEM.... a giant blow up alien... CAMEL TOE. I dont think i need to say more. Thats just Kickawesome!

Zoo day with the fam!

Here's our first trip to the zoo! Thanks to Jono & Chante for the pics of us and the elephant... as well as the eagle and giraffe... my mom used my camera so I didn't get to take any pictures... but the rest are a few she got during the day.

he LOVED the bird show! Have you guys seen it? its pretty cool! We sat right in the middle and all the birds flew right over our heads!

So on saturday my family decided to go to the zoo all together. Its quite a feat to get all 8 kids and spouses and their kids together...but we had everyone there except for Thomas Heidi's husband who apparently doesn't like the zoo. :) This picture didn't have jake and tiff and the boys though cause they decided to do their own thing during the day... but here's most of the gang!

So it was 85 degrees on saturday... and I was pretty beat by the end of the day! But it was worth it to see jaxon's reactions to all the animals... now he knows what we're talking about when we say "what does the monkey say"! :)

2 milestones and a messy boy

Jaxon has reached some milestones the last few days... first... he has learned to drink from a straw. I know it doesn't seem like that big of a deal... but EVERY TIME we have a drink ... he insists on pulling out the straw and trying to suck it from the bottom. Now he can just drink it like a grown up. I finally got him a sippy cup that has a straw...and within the day he figured out regular straws... i can't believe i didn't think of that sooner!

Second... and by far the most anticipated day for us all... He started WALKING!!! Yes... finally at 16 months my baby is walking!!! Ok... well almost. He's standing up on his own... and can walk across the room... he's not quite using walking as his means of transportation... but he's getting close! Its a glorious day in my book. Carrying around a 25lb little guy while 7mo pregnant can be very tiring... I know he'll be getting into more stuff now... but the trade off for me is priceless!

some of these may be long and boring.. but we think he's a doll. we recently cut his hair... you can see his pre haircut hairdo in the cream cheese video...and the other two are his new buzz cut! i think he looks so grown up now with his short hair! Where'd my baby go?

So watching american idol tonight was bitter sweet... i love david cook but i felt bad for little archie!

So was that finale also called the 80's and 90's stars make a come back night? Kinda random the names they had come back.... Bryan Adams? George Michaels? Donna Summer? ZZ Top? I dunno... seemed kinda weird.

And whats with those Jonas brothers? Am I just getting old? I just didn't get it.

Sunny Day at Hyrum Dam

We spent the afternoon today "swimming" at Hyrum dam. Mark & Brandon actually got fully submerged in the water... while me and jax and jenn stayed at the beach and only got partially wet. It was really nice getting out in the sun... even though now I'm paying for it with a nice red sunburn! When will I ever learn?

Saturday we spent the day with Mark's parents & grandparents at his sister Karen's house. We had a fun time outside playing in the sun. Jaxon just LOVES his grandpa waegner!He's getting SO close to walking...

well we did it.... we've joined the ranks of the minivan driving families! We decided to sell our cute little SUV and get a minivan.... we love all the room.... and we love the fact that we can get out of debt by selling our SUV. Seems like the right thing to do... So go ahead... and laugh at the mini van mom.... its cool. I can take it.

The Old High School Gang got Knocked Up!

Here are the 3 preggos... Tami... Me... Amanda. We're all about 3 weeks apart. Tami is due the end of June... i'm due the middle of July... Amanda is due in the middle of Aug. Kinda crazy we're all pregnant together!
We went to the Brick Oven in Provo for Tami's baby shower. Michelle brought her little boy Kyle who's 5 weeks old. So cute! Angela was the only one here who didn't jump on the 2008 baby bandwagon! Come on ang... you know you want one!!! It was so fun to get the old gang together again!
